School List of The Wellington Diocesan School for Girls, Nga Tawa, Marton, 1911 to 1967.

This register of Nga Tawa girls has been compiled from the admission and attendance registers for 1924 onwards. The names and years of attendance are therefore complete for all the girls who have been at Nga Tawa since then for a full year - the qualifying period for inclusion in the register laid down by the Trustees.  The destruction of records by fire in 1924 has made the task of compiling an accurate list for preceding years a difficult one, but consulting school magazines for 1917 - 1920 and with the help of contemporary old girls many names have been added which were not included in the earlier register printed by the O.G.A. in 1949. At the last moment a birthday book which belonged to Miss Barker has come to light, dating from 1912, and containing names of girls at School until 1920, and this has yielded a long list of hitherto unrecorded old girls.
