This account of the growth and develop­ment of the school has dealt mainly with its administration and has taken little account of the many thousands of pupils who have passed through its doors, sat in its crowded classrooms and from there have passed into the greater world beyond.

The school has been well served by its teachers over its 100 years and many of its pupils have risen to positions of eminence in business, professions, local body administration and in the public service
